Hazard Class 1: Explosives


Definition:  Any substance or article, including a device, which is designed to function by explosion or which, by chemical reaction within itself, is able to function in a similar manner even if not designed to function by explosion.

Contact EH&S:  ALL shipments of explosives must be performed the DOT trained staff at Environmental Health and Safety. Due to the risk and liability of this explosive material, all shipments or movement across campus from one building to another must be done by EH&S.  Contact
