The University Fire Marshal works with the Campus Community and Stakeholders by providing education and helpful tips for Fire Code Compliance and individual Safe Work Practices.  This provides an additional layer to ensure that campus facilities are as safe as possible. 
 
Mission Statement:  The office of The University Fire Marshal is dedicated to Cornell and the surrounding communities by striving to deliver quality and professional services to assure a safer environment for the University community, visitors and public through compliance with The Fire Code of New York State, Life Safety Codes and University Policies.
 
EH&S also offers hands on education with fire extinguishers.
